Hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans are waiting to get a vaccine for COVID-19. The state health department said more than 110,000 vaccines have been administered to Oklahomans so far.

State leaders said they’re still ironing out issues with the registration system and are asking for people’s patience.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health said 252,321 Oklahomans have signed up to get a vaccine. They said 6,054 of those who've registered are in phase one, 142,607 are in phase two. Those are the only two phases receiving the vaccine right now.

They said 11,680 appointments have been scheduled by Oklahomans who are eligible and there are still 4,734 appointments available.

"First and foremost, we've got to get vaccine out to the public, so I'm looking for venues in which we can get vaccine out to the public and we can demonstrate to our federal partners at Operation Warp Speed that if you give vaccine to Oklahoma, we will get it out to people so we can get more vaccine," Deputy Health Commissioner Keith Reed said.

Reed said they've fixed most of the issues with the registration system.

Some Oklahomans had problems entering information or got emails saying they were in the wrong phase. Reed said those emails have been updated.

If you've registered but didn't get a confirmation email yet, you'll likely get it within the next day or two. They are sending those emails out in batches.

"We've done a great job on getting this started, Operation Warp Speed has done a great job on getting it started, I feel like in Oklahoma our teams have done just fantastic work, but that doesn't mean we're going to be satisfied, we will not be satisfied until we get all Oklahomans taken care of," Reed said.
