FAA Approves New Safety Design Changes For Boeing 737 Max

Boeing's 737 Max aircraft, which have been grounded for nearly two years, could soon see the skies again.

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved new safety design changes for the 737 Max and made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

The jet has been grounded for 20 months after two deadly crashes killed 346 people. Since that time, many of the 737 Max aircraft have been parked at the Tulsa International Airport.

Manufacturers have spent nearly two years working to improve the aircraft to satisfy the certification standard set in place by the FAA's safety experts.

The FAA's approval means Boeing can once again start delivering newly-manufactured 737 Max aircraft with the safety design change in place.

it is currently unclear as to when passengers will be able to begin flying on the newly updated 737 Max.
