The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a fatality collision late Monday afternoon in Caddo County.
OHP said the accident happened three miles west of Hinton on Interstate 40 eastbound near mile marker 98.
Authorities said a collision in the outside lane of Interstate 40 diverted traffic into the inside lane.
A truck, driven by 59-year-old Martin Hoselton of El Reno, rear-ended a semi truck and came to a stop on the roadway.
Paramedics pronounced Hoselton dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was treated and released for his injuries.
According to OHP, the lanes have since reopened.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
