It's not just ice that some communities are dealing with in the storm. Sleet, even snow is wreaking havoc on trees and powerlines.
Thousands are without power in El Reno and the surrounding area. The extra weight on trees have turned some front and backyards into jungles.
Many El Reno residents said they’re staying indoors, waiting for the storm to pass and clean up to begin.
The mayor told News 9’s Clayton Cummins he's concerned for what the next 24 hours will bring.
