The OKC-County Health Department is providing free flu vaccines to the public beginning Monday, Oct. 5, across several clinic locations.
Flu shots are recommended every year for everyone 6 months of age or older.
“If you’ve never had a flu shot before, this would be the year you want to get one,” said Lynnda Parker, operations manager of the Clinical Services Division at OCCHD. “We’re entering the flu season while COVID-19 is still circulating in our community, and receiving a flu vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting your family and yourself against possible severe complications from the flu."
Please call ahead to make an appointment. Flu vaccines will be provided 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with no out-of-pocket costs to the public.
