The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said two people are dead after a collision in Comanche County.

The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday on Southeast 135th Street and Southeast Bishop Road. The location of the accident is five and a half miles east of Lawton.

Authorities said the driver of a Chevrolet pickup was traveling westbound on Southeast Bishop Road when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on Southeast 135th Street.

The accident injured two adults in the Silverado who were identified as 35-year-old Eric Gutierrez and 34-year-old Isaura Cabrera. Medical personnel pronounced Gutierrez and Cabrera dead at the scene.

Two other juvenile passengers in the Silverado were admitted to OU Medical Center in fair condition.

OHP determined that the driver of the pickup truck, identified as 19-year-old Caden Rowe, was intoxicated. Rowe was also admitted to OU Medical Center in fair condition.
