Oklahoma City Police Chasing Suspect Through North OKC

The Oklahoma City Police Department was engaged in a pursuit on the northside of the metro.

A unit from OCPD's Hefner Division followed a black Ford pickup truck near Interstate 44 and May Avenue.

The driver of the pickup truck also took officers on I-44 before turning on to I-35 in northeast Oklahoma City.

Authorities said the suspect then drove through an open field and crashed through a barbed wire fence near Northeast 122nd Street.

A police unit was reportedly stuck in a ditch near the open field.

It is not known why officers are pursuing the suspect at this time.
