One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle Friday morning on Interstate 35, police said.

According to authorities, the pursuit began after a car was reported stolen in Norman. The owner of the stolen vehicle was following his car in a separate vehicle.

Moore police were engaged in the pursuit when the suspect came into their jurisdiction. The suspect exited I-35 at the Southeast 66th Street off-ramp and continued north on the service road.

The suspect then caused a four-car accident at Southeast 59th Street and the I-35 service road.

Multiple injuries were confirmed by Moore police. Authorities said three occupants of the vehicles were sent to area hospitals. One of them, an unidentified 69-year-old woman, was transported to OU Medical Center but later died. The other two occupants are being treated for their injuries.

Police said the suspect bailed out of the vehicle and attempted to run across the interstate when he was hit and killed by another vehicle.
