Oklahoma City Firefighters are investigating an overnight fire at a gas station near Northeast 23rd Street Street and Sooner Road.

Fire crews responded to the fire call at Sinclair gas station around 2:45 a.m.

Firefighters said they found the fire in the back room of the store. So far, crews said about 40% of the building is damaged.

Fire officials said the fire was originally reported by someone who saw the smoke when they drove by.

“Once they saw the smoke they broke the window to see if there was anybody inside the store,” said Battalion Chief Kyle Durham.

According to firefighters, no one was inside the store during the fire and nobody was hurt.

Damage estimates have not yet been released.

This is a developing story.
