August Heat Returns To Central Oklahoma

August heat is making a return! Isolated showers and storms possible Thursday morning through midday.

The best chance will be in the west and northwest.

It will be a hot humid afternoon. Winds will be out the southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

Highs Thursday will climb into the lower and mid 90s with heat index values around 100.

A few more showers and storms will be possible this afternoon.

A wave of storms will arrive and could bring the threat for a few severe storms overnight tonight. The rain chance in Oklahoma City tonight will be 30 percent.
