Man Dies After Being Hit By A Truck Overnight

Tulsa Police said a man is dead after officers said he stumbled into the road and was hit by a truck near 15th St and 69th east avenue.

TPD said the man was at a nearby bar asking about a job around midnight. The bar manager said he did not appear intoxicated and they didn't serve him any drinks while he was there.

Police said after he left the bar, he was walking along the sidewalk when he stumbled into the road. That's when police said a woman in a truck came over a hill and hit him, with no time to swerve or take any action. TPD said she turned around and came back to the scene and will likely not be facing any charges since this appears to be an accident.

"The investigators will work the entire scene, take witness statements and determine then if any charges need to be filed," said TPD Lt. Darren Bristow.

Police said the driver was not hurt and there were several nearby witnesses that all told police the same account of what happened.

Tulsa Police have not released the victim's name at this time.
