New York Stock Exchange Removes Chesapeake Energy After Bankruptcy Filing

When the New York Stock Exchange opens tomorrow, it will not include Oklahoma's Chesapeake Energy.

The exchange notified the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday that it had completed the delisting process, due to Chesapeake's bankruptcy.

Chesapeake filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June following years of large debt loads and the energy collapse brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic this year.
