The City of Edmond said at Monday's City Council meeting, councilors do not plan on discussing shutting down Edmond Businesses to stop COVID-19 from spreading.
In a news release, the City said all its planning to do at City Chambers is discuss if it’s necessary to make any changes to the city’s emergency declaration.
The release said there are no plans to close businesses and there is no pre-determined course of action.
The latest emergency declaration was adopted on June 15.
Since COVID-19 hit in mid-March, the city council has met regularly to discuss changes to local conditions and how to manage the community.
So far, the city has held 17 public meetings about the emergency declaration.
