Tinker AFB Confirms 5 New Cases Of COVID-19, Up To 70 Total

Tinker Air Force Base confirmed five more cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday morning. The base has reported 15 new cases of the virus since Monday.

The total number of cases reported has risen to 70 at Tinker.

According to the base, the latest confirmed COVID-19 cases include three cases from the 552nd Air Control Wing, a member of the 567th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and a member of the Navy.

Three base members tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. According to the base, Monday's confirmed cases include a military member from the 72nd Operations Support Squadron, a military member of the 552nd Air Control Wing and a Navy member assigned to the Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron 3 or VQ3.

Tinker Air Force Base reported seven cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Seven cases is the highest number of daily cases since Tinker began reporting infected members in March.

The base reported just 10 new positive cases between April 22 and May 27. However, 37 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Tinker Air Force Base since June 4.

Tinker Air Force Base reported its first case of COVID-19 on March 25.
