Mid-Del Teacher Accused Of Making Racist Social Media Post Resigns

A Mid-Del teacher under fire for an alleged offensive social media post has resigned.

Parents were outraged after a social media post written by Kemper Rigg started circulating. The school district said the post did not mirror the district's vision and values.

In a Facebook post Thursday the Mid-Del school district said a special meeting scheduled for Friday, June 12 to discuss the termination of Rigg is now canceled due to Rigg's resignation.

In the post district officials also said they do not condone Rigg's words or behavior.
