As Tulsa continues to grow, the George Kaiser Family Foundation is committing $50 million to turn the city into a tech-hub.

Tulsa Innovation Labs is a technology-led economic and workforce development organization launched earlier this year.

One of the organization's goals is to train local talent, attract global talent, and turn Tulsa into the country's most inclusive tech community.

On Wednesday, Tulsa Innovation Labs released a report identifying Tulsa's five most promising tech clusters: virtual health, energy tech, drones, cybersecurity, and analytics.

These five areas are seen as areas where Tulsa could see a lot of growth.

The co-founder of Tulsa Innovation Labs, Nicholas Lalla, says each of those five areas already exists--meaning nothing needs to be built from scratch.

He says since Tulsa is known for its oil and gas companies, those companies need to see the need to innovate to become more sustainable.

Tulsa Innovation Labs is already working with local universities and San Francisco-based software engineering academy the Holberton School on early steps.
