One of the businesses damaged Saturday night was the Dress for Success office at NW 12th and Western Avenue.

It appears protesters set the office on fire late Saturday night. The Oklahoma City Fire Department is investigating the fire as an arson.

News 9 learned that everything inside is a total loss. That includes clothing donations and 20 computers.

Dress for Success helps woman find employment by providing them with clothes they can to a job interview.

“It is women who need an extra hand and an extra hug,” said Dress for Success Vice-Chair Necie Black.

Many of the women are single moms. Some have been incarcerated and some have been the victims of domestic violence.

“I do believe there are people who protest legitimately and there is the .001% who want to cause chaos,” Black said.

The group is taking monetary donations.

This was supposed to be the week Dress for Success was to move back into their office due to the pandemic.
