One person is dead after a police chase ended in a crash and an officer-involved shooting in Moore.
The chase was initiated by Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers in Norman when a trooper spotted a stolen vehicle from Purcell.
Purcell police said the SUV was stolen from a gas station when the driver left their keys inside the vehicle and went inside the convenience store.
The suspect reportedly drove off and ripped the gas nozzle off the pump after ditching a stolen pickup from Watonga, police said.
The suspect vehicle was driving northbound on Interstate 35 before it got off the highway and crashed on NW 27th Street near N Shields Boulevard.
After the vehicle crashed, troopers said two troopers fired at the chase suspect. The suspect was hit and died at the scene.
Moore and Oklahoma City police were also at the scene of the crash.
The two troopers have been placed on administrative leave. So far, no identities have been released.
