Gust Of Wind Causes Serious Motorcycle Accident In Okfuskee County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported two people suffered multiple injuries in a motorcycle accident shortly before noon Sunday.

The motorcycle driver, identified as 49-year-old Donnie Krug of Del City, was with a passenger, identified as 29-year-old Samantha Shuman of Norman, on Interstate 40 in Okfuskee County.

According to OHP, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-40 approximately three miles west of Okemah when a gust of wind blew the motorcycle into the median.

Krug was attempting to bring the motorcycle back on the roadway, but lost control in soft dirt.

This caused the vehicle to roll multiple times. OHP said Krug and Shuman were thrown off the motorcycle.

Krug and Shuman were transported to OU Medical in serious condition.
