Scissortail Park Announces New Games, Activities To Kick Off Spring In OKC

Scissortail Park announced a full week of new activities and games set to kick off warmer weather in Oklahoma City. 

Game Zone

Starting Sunday, people will be able to check out games at the Game Zone like volleyball, chess, frisbee, badminton and much more from 1 to 4 p.m. 

St. Pat's in the Park

On Saturday, March 14, Scissortail Park will host a free Saint Patrick's themed outdoor event for families featuring various Irish themes performances. 

Spring Break In The Park 

Park officials said there will be free daily activities March 16 through the 21 for Spring Break. 

Sidewalk Astronomy

On Friday, March 20 you can join the Oklahoma Astronomy Club for an evening of stargazing from 7 to 10 p.m. 

Daffodil Dash

Last fall, Scissortail's horticulture staff planted 40,000 daffodil bulbs throughout the park. The Park will host the inaugural Daffodil Dash, a 1K themed walk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday March 21 in anticipation for the daffodils spring arrival.
