City Of Blackwell Enacts Curfew To Prevent Spread Of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Blackwell City Council has enacted a curfew ordinance during Thursday's council meeting.

The curfew is now in effect.

Blackwell residents under the age of 18 will not be allowed out between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. This rule applies to weekdays and weekends.

The City said it made this decision due to the 25 confirmed cases and 1 death from COVID-19 in Kay County.

The City's Facebook page said the curfew will be in effect as long as the Emergency Proclamation related to the coronavirus is in effect.
