5 Major Health Systems Announce New Restrictions

5 Major Health Systems Announce New Restrictions

Starting Monday, new restrictions are taking effect at five major health systems in Oklahoma.

People will no longer be allowed to visit adult patients at the following hospitals:

INTEGRIS Health (all Oklahoma hospital locations)
Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City
Norman Regional Health System
OU Medicine
OU Medical Center
OU Medical Center Edmond
The Children’s Hospital at OU Medicine
The OU College of Pharmacy locations
Clinics in OU Physicians,
Stephenson Cancer Center,
OU College of Dentistry
OU College of Allied Health
SSM St. Anthony Hospital
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital-Shawnee
SSM Health Bone & Joint Hospital at St. Anthony
SSM Health St. Anthony Healthplex locations

At certain hospitals for children's care and labor and delivery care, one visitor is allowed to accompany a child or one of those patients to an appointment. The person has to be over 18, even if they are a sibling.

Those hospitals include:

INTEGRIS Children’s Hospital
The Children’s Hospital at OU Medicine
OU Children’s Physicians
Norman Regional’s Women’s and Children’s Pavilion
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital

An announcement that came out Sunday from OU Med also said critical care, hospice and adults patients that need help will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

All the health systems are emphasizing that anyone with flu-like symptoms should not visit the hospital, unless they are trying to get treatment.
