OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A natural-gas pipeline being planned in southeastern Oklahoma would increase drilling and create jobs in McIntosh County.

Oklaco Holdings of Oklahoma City and Citrus Energy of Castle Rock, Colorado plan to start building the first phase of the pipeline in October.

The pipeline is scheduled to be ready to use in January and will transport the gas to the East and West coasts.

Construction on the second phase is expected to start almost immediately after the first phase is finished.

The companies plan to drill about 30 wells by the end of the year and another 70 wells next year.

The entire project is expected to cost about $8-million.
