Tulsa, OK -- Major meals ahead means major prep-work today.

The Tulsa 66ers, players and cheerleaders, helped the Salvation Army get ready for their Thanksgiving feast by slicing passels of pumpkin pie.

"We're havin' a great time. Some of us are used to helping our mother or our families out during this time of the year at Thanksgiving, so this is kinda like a home away from home for some people to come and do something to help the community." said Mustafa Shakur, guard of the 66ers.

Some kids joined the team in the kitchen. Others were too distracted by the celebrity chefs.
