A Tulsa casino celebrated an expansion Tuesday, with the opening of its new hotel tower.
It adds 100 suites to the complex that already has 353 other rooms. Each new suite is about 600 square feet, plenty of room for guests to settle in.
"Part of the appeal is when you walk in and you have that spacious feel. It's comfortable. You're not trying to slide between the bed and the TV as you go,' said Jon Davidson, with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The new tower replaces an area that was lost in the record-breaking February 2011 blizzard.
The Cherokee Nation now plans to renovate their original tower. That work should be finished by the end of the year.
