Thousands are still without power from storms which moved across northeastern Oklahoma Wednesday evening.

Public Service Company of Oklahoma is reporting 5,930 customers are without power in Osage and Tulsa counties. The majority of those outages are in the Sand Springs area of Tulsa County.

That number is down from 37,500 Wednesday evening.

PSO says they had around 600 workers restoring power Wednesday evening and brought in an additional 160 personnel to add to their force Thursday.  The utility expects the vast majority of their customers to have power restored Thursday afternoon with the rest by noon on Friday.

Elsewhere, Indian Electric Cooperative is reporting 125 customers without power in the Mannford, Sand Springs, Sapulpa and Skiatook areas.
