A 16-year-old boy was shot Sunday afternoon at the intersection of NE 16 St. and Washington Blvd., east of Bryant Ave., authorities said.
Police said a group of teens was standing at the intersection when a car drove past, shot once and hit one of the boys. The incident could be gang-related, according to authorities.
The shot teen was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. His injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said. His exact condition was unknown.
Witnesses said the vehicle involved in the drive-by was a dark gray or black Toyota.
