MIDWEST CITY, Okla. - Nance Ross tries to bottle hope.
Ross and the other members of Central Oklahoma Polymer Clay Guild are creating gifts for cancer patients.
Ross got the idea from a cancer survivor in Rhode Island who used old cancer medicine bottles to create clay works of art.
"There comes a time when they are so surrounded by doctors, medicine and things," Ross said. "To have something in their hand that has helped save people, to have something that someone took hours to make, really raises their spirits and makes them feel not quite so isolated I think."
Twana Davidson has been battling cancer for two years. She proudly displays her bottle of hope on her bedroom dresser.
"It's up high, so I can see it," Davidson said. "The last few weeks when I've been rundown, I'll see that and think, it's almost over, just the hope and the faith."
