OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police are searching for a missing foster child, who was abducted by his biological mother Sunday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Department of Human Services took 13-year-old Thomas Ivie out of his parent's custody because of alleged child abuse several months ago. Police are concerned for the child's safety, because he has a severe mental condition in which his mental capacity is that of a 4-year-old.
Thomas was abducted during an arranged visit at the Woodbridge Restaurant on S Western Avenue at about noon. When his foster parent went to pay the bill, the 13-year-old's biological mother, Tammy Ivie, left through another exit with her son, police said.
Thomas is described as a white male, 5 foot 6 inches with blue eyes and blonde hair. He wears silver rimmed glasses and has large front teeth. He was last seen wearing a black and yellow reversible jacket, white t-shirt and blue jeans.
If you have any information about the missing teen, please call the Oklahoma City Police Department.
