TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsan is mourning the loss a mother and her children, who were murdered in El Reno.

Joshua Durcho is charged with strangling his girlfriend Summer Rust and her four children. The kids range in age from three to seven.  Their uncle, Summer Rust's brother, lives in Tulsa.  He said he is devastated by the loss of the little sister he had reconnected with only a few years ago.

"I had the rest of my life with her.  We had four babies there, and they're all gone," said the victim's brother, Robbie Booth.

Adopted at birth, Robbie Booth spent most of his life looking for his sister, 25-year-old Summer Rust.  After an exhaustive search, he finally found her four years ago.  But, his newfound role as a big brother was cut short this week.

"It made me feel complete in life, and know where I came from.  And, she's the first blood relative I knew and she's gone.  She's gone," Booth said.

Booth said Summer was doing her best as a single mom to raise her four children.  He said the suspect, her boyfriend Joshua Durcho, was not a good guy, but Booth did not believe he was capable of murder.

"They had only known him a short time.  They called him daddy.  He strangled them with his hands, they had to be terrified," said Booth.

Booth said the finality of losing a sister and four nieces and nephews he had wanted so desperately to reconnect with has yet to sink in.  For now, he is focused on finding a way to provide all five with a proper burial.

"I'm just trying to do the last thing I can do for my sister, help her one more time," said Booth.

Several funds have been set up to help pay for the funerals.  Donations can be made at the Canadian State Bank in El Reno.
