Alleged OU Gunman Charged

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A former OU student accused of holding a professor at gunpoint was charged Tuesday.

Michael Childers, 27, is facing charges including kidnapping and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Childers allegedly held the professor at gunpoint Friday in Kaufman Hall.

He was later arrested in Broken Arrow.

Cleveland County Sheriff's Deputies transported him to the Cleveland County jail Tuesday afternoon.
