OKLAHOMA CITY -- One person was killed and two others were injured in a house fire overnight in southwest Oklahoma City.
Lieutenant Dan Stewart with the Oklahoma City Police Department said arson and homicide investigators are working to learn the cause of the fire and death.
Firefighters responded to the house fire at S.W. 43rd Street and Agnew Avenue just after midnight Saturday.
"Nobody's supposed to be living there," said Carolyn Baker who lives down the street.
Baker believes homeless people may have been seeking shelter at the house that has been vacant for years.
"I hope they burn the house down to be honest with you because nobody's lived there since that lady sold it except vagrants. It comes and goes," said Baker.
Baker said she did not see any flames but woke up to ambulances and fire trucks lined up outside her home.
Two people were transported to the hospital in an unknown condition, and no names have been released.
