OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma man is back in touch with his family following an interview with News 9.

On Tuesday, Ronald Johnson was interviewed in downtown Oklahoma City by Rusty Surette and photojournalist Mark McBride. The 28-year-old said he was staying with the City Rescue Mission, but his one mission in life is to track down his family.

"I haven't seen my brother in 21 years", said Johnson. "I'm beginning to forget what family is like. All mine is gone."

Johnson was separated from his siblings after his mother was put in prison. Johnson says he's been able to communicate with some of his family over the years, but it's been more than two decades since he last saw some of them.

Johnson admits he's made some bad choices in his life that's led him to living on the streets, but after surviving this week's blizzard, he said he's ready to be back in touch with his family and get his life back on track.

"Things can happen and life can end," said Johnson. "So, you have to enjoy what you got."

News 9 was able to track down Johnson's uncle and brother in the Boston-area Tuesday afternoon. His uncle said he's looking forward to hearing from his long-lost nephew.

Johnson also left a voicemail for his brother and plans to continue trying to get in touch with him. He refuses to give up.

"If you ain't got the love, you're sitting in pity," said Johnson. "And that ain't no way to go."
