OKLAHOMA CITY -- Clearly with these cold temperatures, Mother Nature isn't going to get rid of the snow on your driveway. But if you don't want to do the shoveling yourself, where do you go?

To answer that question you would go to where you get the answer to most questions: the Internet.

Craigslist had more than 25 listings for snow removal on Thursday alone. But don't wait. Those doing the shoveling say business is piling up.

Jason Pritchett shoveled snow for 13 hours Wednesday and he's on pace to do that again Thursday.

"(We) put an ad on Craigslist and all of a sudden, boom, they just kept calling and calling and calling and calling," said Pritchett.

Pritchett is a landscaper, but he said there's not much demand for that now. So he grabbed his snow shovel to help out those like Cindy Batt who has no desire nor capacity to do it herself.

"My snow shovel is in my storm shelter and my rake is in my garage," laughed Batt.

The Better Business Bureau does say when hiring someone to do your shoveling be sure to ask first who will be responsible for damages should they occur. And get several estimates because prices can vary widely.

Still most customers say whatever it is, it's a small price to get out of your house.

"Last night we were coming out at 10, 11 o'clock at night. They were like 'Just clear this much out, just enough to let us through,'" said Pritchett.

News 9 also checked with the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner who said as a homeowner you are liable for anything that happens on your property. But that's just like if someone were visiting you, or mowing your lawn and typically your homeowners policy would cover that.
