EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Animal welfare workers in Edmond have reunited a lost Asian deer with its owner.

The animal was found Monday near Sorghum Mill and Sooner Roads. It was wearing a pink collar, but no tags.

Workers at Edmond Animal Welfare said the Asian deer is very gentle and sweet, and followed people around like a dog.

The deer's owner, Chris Foss, said he saw the deer on TV and called the Edmond shelter. Foss said his deer, Darby, roams during the day and goes to neighbors and socializes, but last night Foss said he didn't get the deer in her pen.

The two were reunited Tuesday afternoon.
