OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy's brand new cruiser gets totaled while helping with another accident Tuesday morning.
The truck hauling hay was westbound on I-44 near Martin Luther King Boulevard when one of the straps came loose causing a big mess along the highway.
The deputy had pulled up to assist the Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper with traffic.
When the truck driver stopped the deputy to talk, a Chevy Colbalt came barreling down the highway and slammed into the back of the cruiser.
The crash sent the cruiser down the hill and onto the MLK exit ramp. No one was injured. The driver of the Chevy was ticketed for inattentive driving.
