Body Of Moore Soldier Killed In Afghanistan Returns To Oklahoma

The body of an Oklahoma Army National Guard infantry officer who was killed in Afghanistan arrived at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base Tuesday morning.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The body of an Oklahoma Army National Guard infantry officer who was killed in Afghanistan arrived at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base Tuesday morning.

First Lieutenant Damon Leehan of Moore was on his second tour of Afghanistan when he was killed August 14 by a roadside bomb. He was the seventh Oklahoma National Guardsman killed within just three weeks.

First Lieutenant Leehan is survived by his wife and two young children. His funeral will be held Thursday, August 25, at 10 a.m. at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond.
