OKC Family's Surveillance Video Leads To Arrest In Auto Theft

Oklahoma City Police make an arrest after watching one family's surveillance video of their daughter's car being stolen.

Devyn Hinkle was arrested on four counts of larceny of an auto. One of those counts involves the theft of Angela Maxie's daughter's car. Maxie noticed her daughter's older model BMW was not in the driveway on Monday. So, she checked her surveillance video and sure enough caught several men on tape casing and then stealing the car.

It was Maxie's surveillance video that helped police identify Hinkle and link him to three other auto thefts.

The teen's car was later found by police in a cemetery Near Northwest Expressway and Council Road covered in mud with damage to the body.

Police said two juveniles are also connected to the crime, but have not been arrested. Police released them to their parents. However, police said the 15-year-old faces one count of larceny of an auto and the 17-year-old faces one count of auto burglary.
