This Friday will bring a drawing of Mega Million's largest jackpot ever, over half a billion dollars.  Oklahomans aren't about to be left behind.

News 9 visited The Station at Northpoint in Oklahoma City on Thursday.  The convenience store had been selling lottery tickets non-stop all day.

Store clerk Emily Womack had sold more than her share.

"It's been pretty hectic," Womack said.  "A lot of people are buying lottery tickets, they wanna win."

"If I won that much money?  Man, I would probably pass out," said Qualyn Lewis.  Lewis had only planned on purchasing a snack at The Station, but was convinced he needed to spend a dollar on a chance at millions.  "I'm gonna put a hundred and fifty million in the bank," he said.

Others watch the lottery mania from afar, like Jennifer Wallis.  Wallis is vice president of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Central Oklahoma.

"Y'know if you put in five bucks and dream big, it's not harmful," Wallis said.  "But if you're spending money that should be going toward your bills, then that's a problem."

Wallis admitted though, that even her office found it hard to resist taking a small chance.

"We haven't bought tickets yet," she laughed.  "It has been discussed."

As of Thursday afternoon, the jackpot was up to $540 million, that total will likely climb much higher until Friday's drawing.
