Residents have returned to the town of Luther after a weekend of devastating wildfires. While some returned to their homes, others returned to a pile of ashes and scorched memories.
Across Oklahoma, wildfires burned more than 78,000 acres over the weekend. The town of Luther was one of the hardest hit areas, but residents say they will recover.
The American Red Cross is helping people get back on their feet. The organization opened a "One Stop Center" in Luther Monday. It's located at the Luther High School Auditorium at 178th and Luther Road, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Caseworkers will be on hand to discuss individual needs and the next steps to recovery.
