Hall reportedly confronted his mother in the garage and demanded money. The woman refused and went into the house, but Hall forced his way inside and attacked his mother.

Hall's brother, 54-year-old Timothy Trueblood, rushed to help. Police say he shot Hall to protect their mother. Hall was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Police interviewed Trueblood about the shooting then released him. He's not expected to face charges.

This is the 99th homicide in Oklahoma City this year.
