Localized areas in the Oklahoma City metro area received over 8" of rain Friday night. This of course led to serious flooding.

The North Canadian River in OKC jumped over 15' in a few short hours and stopped just shy of record levels. Most area lakes are well above normal now. Some are even closed.

It is obvious that western Oklahoma still needs a good soaking. Hopefully over the next few days that part of the state can pick up some healthy rainfall.
