1 Dead In Shooting Outside Boise City Store, Suspect On Run

One man is dead and another on the loose after a shooting inside a Boise City convenience store.

It happened at the Loaf 'N Jug located at 323 Main Street in Boise City Wednesday afternoon.

According to Texas County Emergency Management, a man and woman were traveling together in an RV when they stopped at the store for gas.

While outside the store, the suspect approached the victim and demanded his wallet. When the victim refused, the suspect fired his weapon, killing the man.

Police are on the lookout for a short Hispanic male wearing khaki shorts and a blue shirt. He was seen in a late 90s model GM pickup blue or dark in color.

Police have identified the victim as 71-year-old Charles Nieman of Alva, Okla. The suspect is still on the run from police.

OSBI and the Cimarron County Sheriff's Office are investigating the shooting.
