On Sunday, Lunsford's teenage son met with Herndon to try to make amends for his father's actions. Christian Lunsford, 15, offered Herndon $250 cash that his father had given him for a band trip. Herndon accepted the money, but then gave it back to him. She said the teenager's gesture was worth more to her than the cash.
