A canvas being created across the country to honor the Boston Marathon victims makes its way to Oklahoma.
A group of seven women who live in Florida came up with the idea. They wanted to do something different to honor the Boston victims. So they decided to create a prayer canvas.
The prayer canvas has traveled through 42 states, and Oklahoma makes 43.
On Monday, it was at Prairie Vale Elementary so that students and Veterans could decorate our state's portion of the canvas.
"I think I said 'giving my heart to you,'" said Noah Kasin, a 2nd grade student at the school. "People in Boston, they're going to the hospital, and I wanted to give my heart to them,"
Once the canvas is sewn together, it will be the length of a football field. It will be presented to the city of Boston during a Red Sox game in April.
