Firefighters battled a grass fire Monday afternoon at Anderson and Waterloo in far northeast Edmond.

The fire started around 2:30 p.m. The fire burned several acres and destroyed an outbuilding.

Crews were challenged with having to bring in water from pumper trucks, since there were no fire hydrants in the area.
