The severe weather outbreak continues out in eastern parts of our nation, but things are very quiet across Oklahoma. We are on the south side of a strong area of low pressure, which is giving us strong northwest winds and below average temperatures. The below average temperatures will continue through Thursday before down right hot weather moves in next week.

Tonight lows will drop into the upper 30s and low 40s with clearing skies. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower and mid 60s with northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph.

Patchy frost is likely Thursday morning with temperatures dropping into the 30s. Cover up your tender plants.

A big-time warm up is on the way by the weekend into early next week. Highs will be flirting with records as temperatures climb into the mid 90s.

Oklahoma's next severe weather threat arrives late next week.
