Police have identified a driver who was arrested after a traffic stop in southwest Oklahoma City, Thursday afternoon.

Police have identified a driver who was arrested after a traffic stop in southwest Oklahoma City, Thursday afternoon.

Crews were called to investigate a suspicious device reported to be in a vehicle after a traffic stop near S.W. 29th St. and S. Linn Ave.

According to Oklahoma City police, the driver of the car, 29-year-old Dustin Allen Stacy, told officers he had an explosive. The bomb squad was called to the scene as a precaution.

Police say the officer who initiated the initial traffic stop found weapons in the car. They did not find any suspicious device.

Stacy was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

Police found out that Stacy is also wanted on two outstanding felony warrants out of Oklahoma County for violation of a suspended sentence, and a felony domestic assault and battery warrant out of Pushmataha County.
