Hope you had a very happy 4th of July, Oklahoma! The holiday weekend looks fantastic if you don't mind a little heat and humidity.

High temperatures today will reach the 90s across most of the state, with highest readings in western Oklahoma. Heat index values today will climb close to 100 degrees.

Rain chances today will be isolated to northwest Oklahoma with only a 10 to 20 percent chance of a few showers or an isolated storm.

Sunday, look for hotter temps and hotter heat index values, likely around 100.

The 9-day forecast keeps temps in the upper 90s through Tuesday before a weak front moves in to northern Oklahoma, bringing a slight chance for some rain and storms. We may see some in central Oklahoma as well.

Then, the heat is on AGAIN with temperatures back into the upper 90s next weekend.

Keep that holiday weekend SAFE, Oklahoma!
