Norman Police have safely located a woman who had been reported missing since Tuesday, July 1.

Police did not say how and where they found 21-year-old Hailey Renea (McDaniel) Jennings, only that she was found and is safe with her family. Norman Police released the following statement regarding the situation:

"Norman Police and the family of Hailey Jennings would like to thank the community for their response and effort towards the missing persons (sic) investigation.  Mrs. Jennings was located and is safe.  Her family is very thankful for the communities (sic) response."

Police say Jennings left her home at the Renaissance Apartments, located at 1600 Ann Brandon, at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Based on phone records and witness interviews, police say Jennings made a final cell communication at 3:51 a.m. in the vicinity of highway 9 and the Postal Training Center. No one has heard from her since that time.

According to police, it appeared Jennings was headed east on highway 9 or Alameda Street. She did not tell any of friends that she was planning a trip anywhere. Police believe she may have been driving to the area of Lake Thunderbird.

Again, police have safely located Jennings and say she is safely back home with her family. No other details have been released at this time.
